Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg as the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is introduced yearly to a person who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to enhancing the lives of kids in our group.
Brian Houchins , a dedicated elementary college trainer and group volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s schooling and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of numerous kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives include establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy expertise for at-risk youth, and main a successful community-driven marketing campaign to improve local playgrounds, making certain secure and inclusive play areas for all kids.
The award ceremony will be held on January 15, 2024, on the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will characteristic speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
