Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award

The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg because the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to improving the lives of children in our group.
Brian Houchins , a dedicated elementary faculty trainer and community volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s training and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of countless kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives embody establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops specializing in literacy and numeracy expertise for at-risk youth, and leading a successful community-driven campaign to upgrade local playgrounds, guaranteeing secure and inclusive play areas for all kids.
The award ceremony will be held on January 15, 2024, at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The occasion will function speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
